Artist talk
Martin Prinzhorn with Gilbert Bretterbauer
on April 8, at 7 p.m.
at the Kiesler Foundation
Mariahilferstraße 1b/1
1060 Wien
When Gilbert Bretterbauer asks the linguist Martin Prinzhorn for a definition of his own compounded sentences, he answers by naming the example of the "garden path sentence". The linguist explains to the author how the sound of a manual finds its way into the texts...
The semiotic and grammatical structure will be illustrated by means of drawings on a board specially prepared for this occasion. Rather than by the question of why the conversation will be characterized by the analysis of the technique of language in relation to the fine arts work of Bretterbauer.
